Mindungsan Mountain, or Mount Mindung, located in Jeongseon County in Gangwon Province, is South Korea's one of the autumn travel destinations beloved by trekkers and nature lovers.
Though its peak is at 1,118.8 m, the slopes are relatively easy to hike, offering an enjoyable hiking experience to all the visitors.
The mountain is quite barren as there are no trees at the peak. However, many travelers and tourists flock to this mountain to take in the view the Eulalia fields that cover the entire mountain with silver grass, which is one of the amazing landscapes in Korea you don't want to miss during fall.
The Eulalia in Mindungsan Mountain begins blooming in September, but the best time to see is between October and November.
If you want to go hiking, the trail starts at Jeungsan Elementary School, which passes Balgudeok Village and up to the Eulalia trails. From here, it's up to you whether to take the steep slopes or up a more gradual trail to the top.
