Located on Naphra That road, the National Museum in Bangkok was opened by King Rama V and is home to the largest collection of Thai arts and artifacts in the country. It is the largest museum in Southeast Asia.
Particular subjects are organized into different rooms, such as armaments, clothing, artwork, etc. There are also tours conducted in English, German, French, and Japanese by volunteers.
The museum is huge so we recommend sparing at least 3 hours if you want to explore the whole place.
*The fastest way to get to the museum is by taking the express boat to Chang Pier or Banglampoo Pier. The museum is located between Thammasat University and the National Theater, facing Sanam Luang.
