We were at this place for dinner.
We ordered shrimp fried rice and pork fried rice with basil.
Unfortunately instead of pork we received chicken. We didn't bother to send it back as we realised the dish would taste better with chicken as it was not the dish we expected.
All good.
The food was unfortunately by thai standards very bland.
We didn't bother to say anything as it wouldn't have made any difference. Obviously the chef is not a professional chef.
Unfortunately sometimes you are not satisfied.
We asked for some ice for the beer as it was too warm.
We recieved a small bucket of ice which we thought was a very nice touch.
After receiving the bill came the very big disappointment.
We were charged 20 Baht for ice, even though the beer was served warm. We were also charged a 10% service fee.
We have been in Thailand for 6 weeks and have never been charged a service fee.
The location of the Be My Guest
be my guest pub and restaurant is fantastic as it is on the river.
Shocking was, how not busy it was for such a great location.
All in all a very disappointing experience and we will not come back. Because of the formentioned disappointments we will also not recommend this place further.
A real shame as it has, alone from the location, huge potential.
Instead of turning every penny, one should concentrate on customer service and quality.
Only with frequency and satisfied customers can a business survive.
