Located in Jeollanam-do Province, Naganeupseong Folk Village contains a well-preserved castle that is over 18,000 Pyeong in size. Follow the road past the castle and you will be led into town, where about 100 families still reside.
There are also 9 houses designated as important cultural resources, straw roof houses, the General Im Kyeong-Eop monument, a resource center and more. You will have the opportunity to observe the daily dwellings that are indigenous to the area such as the kitchen area, clay rooms, and Korean-style verandas.
At the end of every first full moon of the new year, there is a ritual ceremony and celebration held at the general's monument, with games such as seesaw jumping, swings, and other fun folk activities.
The venue has also been featured in the popular drama "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds", which stars Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.
