Don Mueang (Muang) Airport is the very first and the oldest airport in Bangkok, Thailand. It had its opening in 1914 and reopening in 2007 after having renovations.
It is 22 km north of Bangkok and just 30 minutes to an hour away from the main destinations in Bangkok.
It was a hub international airport in Southeast Asia but was replaced with Suvarnabhumi Airport which was opened in 2006 with the bigger size.
Don Mueang airport has 2 terminals. Terminal 1 is for international flights and terminal 2 is for domestic flights only. Even though there is an international terminal, Don Mueang has become a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost carrier airline hub.
