To introduce Daegu Hyangchon Cultural Center, it is located in Hyangchon-dong, Daegu which is the middle part of Korea. The reason why the place is called as Cultural Center is because, first, it provides old historical recollections in Hyangchon-dong, Daegu since 1905. It is surely the living witness of Korean War under the Japanese Imperialism and the development of reconstruction of Korea. When you visit the Center, you can easily check the rise and fall of Hyangchon-dong through variety of chronological tables, images and films. Not only that, but also you can see the people, clothes, buildings and old days of living styles in Korea through realistically made models in exhibition.

Second, Hyangchondong was the place where group of artists often gathered in coffee shop and shared their painful hearts for the loss of their family and country. That is why Hyangchondong is also well-known as the spiritual hometown for the various artists in Korea. You can also check this by looking at the models of coffee shops and music halls where cultural artists devoted their time with passion for the discussion of culture and arts.
