Sigolgil (meaning a country lane) is a restaurant recommended by Jeju local people. Open more than 20 years ago, Sigolgil has served nothing but spicy stir-fried small octopus. The dish contains a handful of noodle to sooth the spicy taste. Unlike other stir-fried octopus restaurants, Sigolgil’s small octopuses are chewy yet soft. During lunch or dinner time, you may have to wait for a while in front of the restaurant as the place is usually crowded with local people. There are many Sigolgil branches in Jeju city, but the one located behind the Jeju KBS building is the original one.
