The temple itself is nestled on Sanbangsan Mountain. On the way to the cave, with the temple in it you have multiple buildings. The hike up to the cave takes around 20 minutes. It is an relatively easy hike because there are continues stairs up the hill, though they are quite steep, and on the way to the cave you have some shops where you can buy souvenirs and a drink such as bottled water.
In the cave is a large Buddha statue, you can drink water there for the good health of you family and there is a Monk present in the cave. The view is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is peaceful (even though there is an amusement park nearby).

Sanbangsan temple is a nice place to visit when seeking a bit of peace and a great view. The alter at the top of the mountain in the cave is impressive to see and the view of the surrounding areas is stunning. One can even see some of the attractions of the amusement park down below. The climb is a bit of a challenge as it consists of stairs all the way to the top but the stairs are quite steep thus one should take their time to climb upwards.
