Palgongsan Mountain, which is located in Daegu, is a local mountain which is easy to hike (You can go up within about one hour!). There is a famous temple, Dorimsa. Also there is a Donghwasa temple. This mountain is famous for 'Gatbawi' which is a seated Buddah statue. This figure was named as 'Gatbawi' because the Buddah statue looks like wearing a Gat, Korean traditional hat.

Also you can ride a cable car. It is opened 6 days a week, from Tuesday through Sunday. If an official holiday falls on a Monday, then we will open. The round-trip fee is 9,000. On April, cherry blossom festival is held in this area, a Palgongsan mountain fountain square.
