Sweet East is a nicely sized cafe, that's nestled in the hidden alleyways behind Mcdonalds, just around the corner from Linus’ Bama Style BBQ. Festooned with paper lanterns, the decor is just cute and quirky enough to lure in packs of Korean couples carrying selfie sticks.

The main draw of this cafe is the fact it's the only place in Seoul serving up American State Fair favourite, funnel cake. With four different varieties and a hole host of hot and cold drinks available it really sets itself apart from the competition by offering something different than all the other coffee shops in the area.

The star item here are the funnel cakes, which is a doughnut batter swirled into a crazy pattern and deep fried, they are then topped with ice cream and sugary sauces. You can also get cheesecake, teas and coffees.
