This restaurant in Sinsa specializes in lamb, so I was really excited when a friend told me he was celebrating his birthday there. Not having heard of it, I saw their menu and had high expectations.
The lamb, honestly, was quite good. And if it was just for the lamb I would give it a 4,5 or 5 star. However, I didn't like the place because we went there as a big group (15people?) sitting in a long table. I wanted, really wanted the lamb stew because I love stews. But some people wanted the lamb chops. And the waiters told a Korean friend that was in our table that their style was "all sharing".
That makes more sense if it's a small table of 2-3 people becuse they don't want to turn on the grill for just 1 person. But we were around 16 people, and I just don't understand why they wouldn't let us order separately (except that the stew is 12,000 and the chops are 27,000 and they knew if they forced us to order only one thing, the chops would win and they would be able to charge us more).
I hated that point, and since the bday boy and the Korean who was ordering both wanted the chops, I didn't argue about the stew. But big disappointment, since I wanted to eat something else and they didn't provide it.
As a result, the end bill was 38,000 per person (they also served us more than 1 portion per person because they suggested it as we wouldn't have enough otherwise), so I feel like it was a bit shady and I'm not even sure of what I paid for.
And I want my lamb stew :(
