'Daecheon Beach', located on Korea's west coast in Chungcheongnam-do, is the biggest beach of the western beaches of South Korea. It is famous for a long and white sands of this beach that stretches 3.5 km. This spot has been a popular tourist destination so the facilities are well made such as a public showers, toilet, parking lot and cloakroom. You can enjoy riding a 'banana boat', a famous leisure sports in South Korea, on the sea. Or you can go to 'Dabo Island', which is uninhabited island, from the 'Daecheon Beach' through a small excursion ship taking about 20 minutes. There is a big and famous seasonal event 'Boryeong Mud Festival' in this beach in summer.
