Sanbang restaurant is the most famous Milmyeon restaurant in Jeju. Milmyeon means Wheat Noodles. It's usually regarded as summer's food so it's very cool. Originally, Milmyeon is not Jeju's traditional food but Busan's. The original Milmyeon's main ingredient is Dongchimi (Korean watery Kimchi) soup. But in Jeju people use meat soup, which is a famous Jeju style noodle. Many Jeju people love this style of Milmyeon. If you go to Sanbang restaurant especially in the summer, you have to wait because there are always many people. It's the proof of taste. The noodle is chewy and the soup is a little bit frozen. In addition, when you eat Milmyeon Suyuk (Boiled Beef or Pork Slices), it complements well with the noodle soup. There is also another style of Milmyeon. It's Bibim Milmyeon which is not watery but spicier than the regular Milmyeon.
There are two Sanbang restaurants. The first one is located in Moseulpo, the south western region , which is far from the Jeju city. The second location is located in the the Jejusi. But Many people say the first restaurant is better than the second. Second branch address: 8 Obok 3-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea Second branch Opening hours : 11:00 ~ 20:00
