The main menus are Roasted mackerel and Dolsotbab (hot rice). Mother and Mackerel is known as one of the few Korean homemade style restaurants in Hongik University area.
All the menus come with various side dishes, called Banchan. You can also choose your stew between Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi Stew) and Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew).
The restaurant is not that big. The atmosphere is very comfortable and you will feel like you are at home.
If you are looking for healthy Korean food around Hongdae area, Mother and Mackerel is the place you should go.
