This place is located in Gwangjang Market which is one of the famous traditional markets in Korea. Gwangjang Market is famous for delicious Korean food. If you take subway, it's only 1 minute walk from the exit. Because of the advantage in accessibility with public transportation system, Gwangjang Market is always crowded with people not only from Korea but also many other countries in the world. They are all enjoying Korean traditional market culture.
This place has Korean-style raw beef which is called Yuk hoe in Korean. This is one of the most famous things that you should try in ‘Gwangjang’ Market. Of course, I tried. It was in the street that many Yuk hoe restaurants are located in. This place is called ‘brother’s yuk hoe’. In the interview, the owner said, ‘I chose this name because it sounds familiar’. And it really was. People were kind and friendly including the owner (the person who is smiling in the picture).
I sat down on a table and ordered the famous yuk hoe. It was 12,000 KW. It was served with slices of Korean pear under it and with an egg yolk on the top. I was so excited, because I love yuk hoe. And It was even more than what I expected it would be. It was so soft and tasty that I couldn’t put my chopsticks down until I finish the whole dish. I really want you to try it. I guarantee that you would like it. This place also has other menus, so you can choose what you want (there is a picture of menu and price).
There are also other spots that I've been to in 'Gwangjang' Market. You can check it through my ID. Hope you enjoy it :D
