概要
Suwolbong Trekking Course has a rich history that belies its otherwise natural surroundings. Similar to other natural heritage sites of Jeju, this place has a legend of its own. Legend has it that the sister of Nokgo went to climb the peak to retrieve herbs for their ailing mother but failed. Following that, Nokgo shed tears, thereby creating the legend the "Tears of Nokgo". Also, this place is known to be a textbook for geologists, with its various sediments found here. Finally, it also has historical significance being one of the sites where the Japanese stored suicide boats to be used in the event of an attack.

The trekking shows interesting geological stone structures and is a beautiful path to walk along when in Jeju. One can also rent bicycles, segways or motorised scooters to explore the trail. If one is lucky one might spot some women divers at work depending on the weather and sea conditions.
