The facts

Myeongdong Kyoja (명동교자) is a very famous noodle restaurant located in Myeongdong that has been in business for about 40 years. The restaurant is known for their knife-cut, handmade 'Kalguksu' noodles, which is its main menu item.

There's always a long line but the line goes by pretty fast.

The queue moved really fast even though the line was long and the accommodated my nephew who is just 11 months old and gave him a baby chair.

The food was really good! I loved their kalguksu so much that I finished the whole bowl by myself.

Cold Noodles in Soy Broth and Steamed Dumplings. Wasn't expecting the soy broth to be super thick, it's rich with a distinct peanut-y flavor. A Michelin-approved joint!

now this place needs no introduction among Koreans. It always has a line during dining hours, but the turnover is pretty fast, and they have 2 branches in Myeongdong, so don't miss this place if you happen to be here. The thing is I've heard so many praises for the place that it did not live up to my expectation. Those familiar with Asian-style soup noodles will probably not understand the whole hype. Still good comfort food especially during the harsh winter here.
