Overview

Experience Bangkok's remarkable historical sites and attractions with this comprehensive tour of the old city or Rattanakosin that is designed to bring you a feel of Bangkok's authenticity.

This half day tour includes Bangkok’s famous landmarks in Rattanakosin such as the beautiful Temple of Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) and the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) that boast stunning architectural design and decorations, both of which are featured on the Thai Baht coins.

Take in the views of Bangkok’s majestic Grand Palace and the famous ‘Reclining Buddha’ at Wat Pho Temple. Wat Pho Temple is also known as Thailand’s first school for traditional medicine and massage. The local guide will take you through the tour providing you with interesting details about the attractions.

Itinerary

1:00pm - Meet in front of the ticket booth at Saphan Taksin pier (Central Pier)
- Wat Phra Kaew: Temple of Emerald Buddha
- Wat Arun: Temple of Dawn
- The Grand Palace
- Wat Pho: Temple of the Reclining Buddha
5:00pm - Finish the tour near Chao Phraya River
*Please note that the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew will be closed during the mourning period for the recent passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej until November 13, 2016 (may be prolonged by the Thai authorities).

3. Walking tour finishes near the river, from where you can return to BTS/MRT via river taxi.
4. Please dress respectfully in the temples and the Grand Palace. Sleeveless shirt, vest, short top, see-through shirts, short pants, torn pants, tight pants, culottes, and mini skirts are strictly prohibited.
