Celebrate Thailand’s wildest festival at a riverside temple and vibrant streets!

Songkran is the Thai New Year festival which marks the end of the dry season. The festival takes place during the hottest month of the year and its festive water celebration cools off the heat in the city. Start your morning with a visit to Wat Arun, one of the most spectacular temples in Bangkok, and watch symbolic traditions of Buddhist monks and local people. After the traditional celebration, you will ride a ferry and depart for Wang Lang area to enjoy street food and Buddhist ceremonies. In the afternoon, you will get on a tuk-tuk, Thailand's iconic auto rickshaw, and jump into the lively water fights with thousands of people on streets.

Itinerary

8:30am	Pick up from BTS Victory Monument Station Exit 2 - Get on a van and head to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
9:00am	Arrive at Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) - Watch the traditional celebration of Songkran - Cleansing ritual of Buddhist icons - Sand pagoda making (available at an additional charge on site) - Merit-making ceremony: local people offer food to Buddhist monks
10:00am	Depart for Wang Lang Pier by ferry
11:30am	Arrive at Wang Lang Pier - Lunch on your own & try various street food near the pier - Enjoy entertaining events and Buddhist ceremonies in Wang Lang area
1:30pm	Depart for Silom Road - Get on a tuk-tuk, arm yourself with a water gun, and enjoy water fights
2:30pm	Get off the tuk-tuk and explore the water festival on foot
4:00pm	End the tour at Silom Road
