Overview
Discover two of Bangkok’s oldest and largest ethnic communities - Chinatown (known locally as ‘Yaowarat’) and Little India (known locally as 'Pahurat'). In this walking tour, you will explore the backstreets of the two communities and see the lifestyle of the locals.
During the tour, you will come to an interesting temple called the Prostitutes’ Temple and also a fortune teller on the way. Also visit the Old Market, an exotic food haven featuring hundreds of street vendors and restaurants as well as shining gold shops lined up on the streets. Then, Bangkok’s oldest Chinese shrine which is even older than the city itself awaits you to bring the ancient feel to life.
For lunch, you can taste the city’s best Phad Thai, a traditional noodle dish, served on banana leaf and a local herbal drink to quench your thirst. As the tour moves on, you will get to see Little India’s huge Sikh temple and hear about its history. Exploring the back streets of Chinatown is also an interesting experience of this walking tour as you will get to meet and see the local people. As the end of the tour draws near, visit the most unique department store in the city you've ever seen.
