Make your own basket by weaving rattan wood!

Rattan wood weaving is a unique type of craft technique that uses flexible rattan wood. The things you can make by weaving rattan are endless, starting from small keychains to large chairs. In this experience, learn the basics of rattan weaving and make your own basket.

Orientation (10 mins)

You can choose between two different basket shapes: a peanut-shaped basket or a chestnut-shaped basket, both designed to be practical and decorative.

Do I need prior experience to join this class?

No prior experience is needed. This workshop is beginner-friendly, and all techniques are explained step by step during the session.

How long does the rattan weaving experience take?

The total duration is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, including orientation, weaving, finishing the edges, and wrapping.

How to get to the rattan workshop in Daegu by public transportation?

Get off at Suseongmot Station (Daegu Subway Line 1) and take Exit 1. From Exit 1, cross the road to your right and turn left. As soon as you turn left, you will be able to see Dongdaegu-ro 6-gil. Turn right and walk straight on Dongdaegu-ro 6-gil for about 450 meters until you see the rattan studio on your right.
