Mt. Chilgapsan is called the Alps of the South Chungcheong Province for its high mountain ranges and crystal clear lake. The annual Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival features massive 10m-tall ice fountains, ice castles, and sculptures in various shapes, including beloved cartoon characters.
