Many Koreans enjoy visiting Book cafes to read. Paju is now developed as Paju Book City complex. It's no longer a place where books are just bought and sold, but a destination where nature, people and books co-exist. At the suburban Paju, you can feel a different sense of peacefulness and atmosphere compared to other Book cafes in other busy cities. This Book cafe is the most well known in the Paju Book City complex. It's named after Hermann Hesse and its construction was motivated the poem 'watering'.

Book House Foresta is a tri-level Cultural and Art Complex, run by Hangil publishing company. The green bookshelves height is about 6m, and filled with tens of thousands books. The bookstore is located on the second and third floors.
