Information

概要

"Bangsan Sijang(Market)", located nearby Euljiro 4-ga Station, is famous for its 'Bakery Street' where you can find all kinds of baking utensils, materials, ingredients, and packaging. There are around 10 confectionery and bakery specialty stores on the street, which takes only 10 minutes to walk around.

Those who would prefer to bake bread and cookies on their own, and not order from online shopping malls, gather at this "Bakery Street". So, if you are interested or starting home baking, the "Bakery Street" in "Bangsan Sijang" is a perfect place for you to begin with.

Many people from all over the city visit this street, especially during Christmas, Valentines week and Korea's special day, "Pepero Day", so try to avoid the market on weekends during these peak times unless you like bustling with a crowd.

Remains one of my absolute favourite places in this city. Everything you could possibly need to bake can be found here (and cheap!) think cookie cutters, icing tips for approximately 1USD each, baking pans of all types and sizes starting at 2-3USD. Quality is top notch as well. Also great for hard to find baking supplies and ingredients. Some of which I have never seen anywhere else in Korea. If you are a baker this market is a must when in Seoul!

For home bakers this is the place to come in Seoul. Everything in your widest dreams can be found here. Chocolate, powder sugar, food coloring, flour, extracts and thousands of decorating items can be found here. As well as all the bake and cook wear you will ever need. You can also find a huge array of all kinds of food packaging which will be really helpful for restaurant owners and professional bakers.
