Chung Dam IL MAK (청담1막) is a premium Makgeolli (Korean wine) bar-cum-restaurant located in the luxurious cheongdam-dong neighborhood.
It offers about 20 kinds of special hand-selected premium Makgeolli that you cannot easily get elsewhere, along with a variety of soju from all regions of Korea.
The most representative and popular makgeolli is "Boksoondoga." You'll be surprised by how gently the liquor, mixed with natural sparkles, can fit your appetite. It's definitely worth trying.
Chung Dam IL MAK is also known for serving great Asian mix food such as Soy Sauce marinated Pork called "Gakuni," which is the perfect complementary dish to try with Makgeolli and even wine. It also has course meals at 53,000won and 89,000won.
The bar's glass dome ceiling and big window that has a great view of the cheongdam-dong street brings out the best atmosphere to enjoy the premium Makgeolli and delicious food.
Mr. Hwang, who is the executive chief, considers Chung Dam IL MAK as a "social dining" bar where you can experience a different style of drinking culture with premium makgeolli and a superb taste of food. Great atmosphere. Great taste. I think it's one of the best makgeolli bars out there. I really like how there's a big window with a great view as well.
