Information

概要

Having nearly 10 stores throughout Korea, including major cities of Seoul and Daegu, Ganga restaurant has taken the concept of Indian fine dining to a totally different level.

The Ganga restaurant in Busan is located right across the Haeundae beach in the Harbour town building that also has Starbucks, TGIF, Bennigans and Outback.

The Indian chef who oversees the preparations in all the Ganga stores serves some really great Indian food from different parts of India such as Hyderabad and Kerala giving the food a slightly different flavor and touch.

Their menu offers several options in vegetarian, chicken, seafood, lamb and beef preparations along with some mouth-watering India desserts including Gulab jamun. Must try on the menu includes palak panner, malbari mutton madrasi, prawn vindaloo and garlic naan. If you want a taste of everything, then you can order their set menus which come with a soup, salad, appetizer, curry and option of naan or rice.

As compared to other Indian restaurants, Ganga is slightly on the more pricey side but the meal is worth every won! The food is rich and hearty so make sure you build up an appetite before you step inside the 'ganga' world of deliciousness.

I was extremely disappointed! After reading the positive remarks, i was expecting good quality Indian food. Instead the paneer makhani was essentially a tin of tomato soup with four minute chunks of cheese in it. Apart from tomato, there was no flavour, no spices, so substance, no texture, nothing! Oh, except for a hefty bill for the pleasure! It was absolutely nothing like the paneer makhani's i've had in India before (which explode with flavour). I'm furious about wasting my money, time and weekly curry allowance on this meal.
