概要

Located in the center of the Seoul, this historical and beautiful park allows its visitors to view the magnificence of the entire city.

Naksan Park gets its name from its camel hump-like appearance. In Korean ‘nakta’ means camel and ‘san’ means mountain. So people refer to the park as Nakta Park or Naksan Park.

The mountain is solid granite bedrock. The Joseon royal family enjoyed the natural beauty of the granite mountain, but during the Japanese Colonial Period a hasty manner of urban planning resulted in the demolition of most of the mountain. In an effort to save the remaining green belts, Naksan was designated as a park on June 10, 2002.

Beside becomes a tourist spot, Naksan park also famous for locals Seoul people to do outdoor workout like jogging, walking or using outdoor sport facilities provided by the city government.

There are two routes in order to get to the top. One is a gradual slope and another is the stairs that go straight up. At the start, there's Naksan Gallery (open 9 – 5), parking lot and benches.

Enjoy the panoramic view of Seoul from the top of the park. With the fortress that was built to protect the city against invaders, ones can enjoy the hike to the park through the Ihwa Mural Village. Been featured in many K-Dramas as well, the Naksan Park is a must visit place if you're in Seoul!

I enjoyed watching the Seoul city view from the top.
I went there with my son almost every week. I love the view that it offers aside from having an exercise after you reach the top. I always believe in the saying "At the end of hardship comes happiness" and that's Naksan Park is.
You have to walk to the top to see the beautiful view.
