Wat Chaimongkol is a Buddhist temple located on South Pattaya Road in the center of Pattaya. Designated as a royal temple, it was built in 1937 which makes it the city's main and oldest one.
The colorful, exotic buildings make the temple the hub of many cultural and religious events in Pattaya. There is also a standing Buddha statue found amongst 350-year-old ruins in Ayutthaya.
The surroundings are also calm, making it the perfect escape from the noisy and busy city.
