Located in the center of Pattaya city between Jomtien and Pattaya, Wat Pha Yai is a temple founded during the Ayutthaya period and built in the 1940s.
The Big Buddha is the main highlight, popular with tourists who love to admire the intricate statue design and temple complex. Aside from this, there are also golden dragons running along the handrails and seven-headed mystical snakes emerging from the dragon's mouths.
Buddha figures at the top of the staircase are displayed in different postures, representing different days of the week. Though it is quite a walk, the stairs aren't difficult to handle so definitely pay a visit here!
