▲ Former Nakasone Family Home
This late 1800s Okinawan home, relocated to Ryukyu Mura in 1984, belonged to the Nakasone family, whose roots trace back to the Sanzan period. Featuring traditional architecture, it houses exhibits on Okinawa’s rich textile heritage, including looms and dyed fabrics.



▲ Former Tamanaha Family Home
Built in 1891 and relocated to Ryukyu Mura in 1982, this home belonged to the descendants of Gosamaru, a military commander of the Ryukyu Kingdom. With an open layout and natural ventilation, it reflects traditional Okinawan architecture. You can relax with a cup of Ryukencha tea and chat with Nene, who shares stories and teaches the Okinawan dialect.

This annual October festival in Naha symbolizes unity and prosperity. See the rope from the 2010 Naha Great Tug of War at Ryukyu Mura, a Guinness World Record holder, measuring 200 meters long and weighing 43 tons.
