*Namsangol Hanok Village will hold Chuseok holiday events as part of its “Five Nobleman’s Harvest Feast” event on Sept 15 & 16. There will be various cultural and hands-on programs such as making Korean traditional masks, decorative fans and taking part in a traditional ancestral rite.

Namsangol Korean Village, located in the central district of Seoul, consists of 5 restored traditional "Hanok" (Korean-style houses), a traditional Korean garden with a pavilion and a pond, and the Time Capsule Plaza.

It is an excellent place where visitors can understand the daily life of people from different social classes in the Joseon Dynasty.

Visitors can also experience various Korean traditional cultural fare and traditional games such as 'neolttwigi' (sea-saw jumping), 'tuho'(arrow throwing) and 'yunnori'(traditional game of throwing wooden yut sticks).

It s a relaxing place, but to be honest nothing much to see. Bukcheon is better place if you wanna see Hanok village

Namsangol Hanok Village is a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon at. Aside from the ice sculpture exhibition mentioned in "the facts" section, this place also offers live performances, taekwondo performances, as well as traditional straw weaving exhibition. What's best is that visitors can get a chance to experience all these first hand! Before heading into the Hanok Village, check the schedule and the list of activities at the entrance which changes from time to time. Admission is free so visitors can take head to this place over a span of a few days if they want to! The place is relatively huge in my opinion and I went back there on 2 occasions. The time capsule is located to the right of this place, and you'd be able to see the iconic N Seoul Tower from the park. A place for all ages indeed!
