Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, also known as Maha Uma Devi Temple or Wat Khaek Silom, located on Silom Road, is a 150-year-old Hindu temple in the city of Bangkok, Thailand.
Established by the southern Indian community when they moved to Thailand during the 19th century, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple stands as an important landmark for Bangkok's Tamil Hindu community today.
It is worth a visit for foreign travelers as the temple features a strikingly beautiful floral facade, carved with images of Hindu gods and goddesses. Also, at the entrance, you can find a 6-meters high tower, also carved with Hindu deities, a sight of which is truly stunning.
On Sankatahara Chaturthi Day, you will be able to see Hindu worshippers at temple to taking part in a ritual to honor Lord Ganesha.
