Just a short walk away from Khaosan Road, Rambuttri Road is a more well-behaved sister of the two. If the noisy circus of activity in Khaosan Road is not really your scene, why not check this place out?
Rambuttri Road is located parallel to Khao San, accessible from both the northern and southern end. It is divided into two sections - Thanon Rambuttri ("Thanon" meaning major road) and Soi Rambuttri ("Soi" meaning lane, alley, or small street). The horseshoe-shaped road takes about 30 minutes to walk along and is lined with bars, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, guesthouses and street food stalls.
The ambiance is more easygoing and relaxing, offering an intimate and laidback experience. There are streetside dining establishments further down the road with bands and performers playing live music and retro vans that convert into neon-lit mobile bars. Colorful paper lanterns also light up the area as it comes alive at night.
*To get there by Express River Ferry Boat from central Bangkok, take the ferry to Phra Ahtit Pier and you will be able to walk to Rambuttri Road in about 10 minutes.
