Khlong San Market, located on the riverbanks of Chao Phraya on Thon Buri side, is a place for locals rather than tourists. From various cheap fashion items such as clothes, accessories, and bags to all kinds of delicious street food, you can find almost anything you would look for in a market here. Especially popular with young hipsters, Khlong San Market is the place to go if you want to experience the ‘real’ Thai market.
The easiest way to get to Khlong San Market is to take the cross-river ferry from Si Phraya Pier on the Bangkok side of the river near Orchid Sheraton Hotel and get off at Khlong San Pier. Please note that the cross-river ferry is different from the Chao Phraya Express boat.
