Hwangnyeongsan is the second tallest mountain in Geumnyeonsan Mountain range (altitude 472m) which draws a boundary between Busanjin-gu, Nam-gu and Suyeong-gu in Busan. It's not too big and it might take about 2~3 hours to climb up the mountain. And it has physical training facilities and campground. An arbor in the mountains are quite flat and small scale of bed rock is exposed so that we can get a nice scenery. Did you know that number of beacon fires has different meaning? They light a single beacon (signal) fire when its normal, 2 beacon fires when the enemy appeared. When the enemy is close to the border, they light 3 beacon fires and when they already cross the border, it becomes 4 beacons. Lastly, 5 beacon fires show that the war/battle has started. There are lots of great places where you can get a view or night view in Busan but none of them has a view of the whole city of Busan except Hwangnyeongsan Mt. Only in here you can get a 360-degree revolution view of Busan! Enjoy this special advantage!

It has very colorful night view and I go there every time I feel down. It's maybe bit tired to go up but I feel very healthy when I finish to climb it. Or just take a cab when you go up and walk down for exercising. Yet if you are just travelers for a few days in Busan, getting your own car (maybe rent a car) will be much easier.
