Information

Fakta-fakta

Located in a plain field under Mt. Seongje, the home of Choi Cham-pan is known as being the setting of the famous novel "Toji (The Land)" by author Park Gyeong-ri. It consists of fourteen 'hanok (Korean traditional houses)' buildings, giving visitors a look into how life was for the Korean people during the late Joseon Era.

The Daecheong Maru is a wooden-floored hall that connects to the men's quarters in the 'hanok' (called 'Sarangchae'), offering a wide view of the vast field of Pyeongsa-ri. Visitors can meditate and relax as they take in the beautiful surroundings. During the fall season, Choi Champandaek hosts the Toji Literature Festival.

The house has been used as the main set of the drama version of "Toji", and has also been featured in the popular drama "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds", starring Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.
