The National Museum of Royal Barges, located in the Bangkok Noi District, is a museum in Bangkok, which showcases beautiful and magnificent royal barges that are used for special ceremonies and traditional occasions such as the Royal Barge Procession.
At this museum, you will be able to find 8 of Thailand's royal barges, which are fascinatingly decorated vessels made from teak and are gilded with gold.
The largest of all displayed in this museum is 'Suphannahong', which boasts 46 meters in length and can hold up to 50 oarsmen and 14 crew members.
During World War II, the dock and the barges were damaged by bombing, but they are completely restored today.
