Dongbaek Island at the southern tip of Haeundae beach was originally created as a park.The coastal walk is made of stairs all the way to the end along the coast. Dongbaek Island is beautiful with Camellia pine trees and is connected with the main land.
You don't have to ride a boat to reach the Island, but walk along the Haeundae beach or simply cross the bridge.
It received the international spotlight after the construction of the Nurimaru APEC House (2nd APEC Summit venue).
In front of the APEC House, there is a racetrack surrounding a hill.
There'a a famous old Korean song called "Come back to Busan Harbor" and it mentions about how flowery Dongbaek island is.

If you have a fear of height, I don't recommend. You have to across many bridges.
And I recommend you to wear pants! so many stairs!!
If you like to walk and beach, it's the best place!!!! Actually, I'm crazy about walking and beach haha so it's my favorite :D
