The museum inside Deoksugung is a branch of National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Thus, if you want to see information related, you have to visit www.mmca.go.kr.
From 2014.04.17-07.27, there is a exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the National Academy of Arts of the Republic of Korea , and special exhibition of donated works of , a renowned ink painter of Korea.
Docent: weekdays: 11:00, 13:00, 14:00 16:00, 17:00
Sat 14:30 docent by Song Soo-nam's apprentice.
ps) docent can be cancelled if the exhibition hall is too crowded.

Tiket Masuk

The entrance fee of Deoksugung is free on last Wednesday of every month(Cultural Day)
The exhibition are free.(When you visit Deoksugung, the art museum is free of charge.(Deoksugung: Adult(over 19): 1000won, Children(7 to 18):500won, free for kids under 6, senior citizen(over 65), people who wear Hanbok:traditional Korean clothing)

There was 2 exhibition when I was there. First one is exhibition of korean artist Jung Yung Yul. The collection was mainly abstract painting and creation from korean paper. There was a video about him played there. The second titled Three Eyes I do have, showing collection from many artists. Its purpose was to explores the world through the eyes of the artists who see world differently from ordinary people

The beauty of exterior charms people from the first place. Also, when you enter, you can enjoy art work of many renowned artist. The most memorable exhibition was that of 'Botero', a Spanish artist. The museum is not only place for Korean artist, but for foreign artist as well.
