Gyeongbokgung Palace is considered one of the oldest and grandest palaces in Seoul and arguably one of the most iconic of the five grand palaces. It was built in 1394 as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty and it is the best place to learn about the ideology of the ancestors. The palace also houses the National Palace Museum of Korea, where artifacts and treasures from the Joseon Dynasty are on display.
