Lotte World Mall is one of the most recently opened malls in Seoul (Oct, 2014). You'll notice a very tall polished building that stands out at Jamsil station. It has a department store, duty free shop, aquarium, Himart (electronic goods store), Lotte Aquarium and cinema all at one building.
You can practically buy anything; it has a good location to see some more interesting places, the modern architecture and various shops inside make it a perfect shopping center.
There's also a Hard Rock Cafe on the 5th & 6th floor which opens until 2:00 am.
Sometimes performances are held at this mall as well.

Have a nice time admiring the decorations, so called one of the best mall in Seoul. They had pororo displays, inside and outside the giant one. Also some art exhibition inside the mall.

But SO confusing!
I've been to Lotte about 3 times, and each time I had to meet friends there were misunderstandings about where to meet.
The problem is that there is an older mall, the Lotte World amusement park (also the ice skating park nearby) and then the department store, and another part whose name I forgot.
In any case, make sure that you decide a specific point to meet up!

I am not a huge shopping mall fan, but this one is amazing! You have tons of stores, restaurants etc - obviously! A special feature are cinema and aquarium. Closeby is a beautiful lake to get some fresh air. What I really like is the design of the mall, inside are different 'zones' (e.g. green environment, bird sounds) and there is enough space to walk around - it does not really seem crowded.
